Wayne Paul, British by way of Jamaica, grew up fascinated by Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, John Holt, Marvin Gaye, Motown, or the movement linked to the mysterious Jah Shaka – prince of heavy bass, sirens and echo effects. It’s no wonder he’s so comfortable expressing his feelings over dub, electro, jazz and hiphop created by Swiss master Christophe Calpini (Mobile in Motion, Stade, Alain Bashung, Dog Almond). It’s bouncy, it’s colorful, it’s warm.
