Pluto has no longer officially been a planet since 2006. In the summer of 2018, singer and guitarist Jeremia Schweizer and sound inventor and bassist Nicola Bögli from Thun set out to breathe new life into the forgotten celestial body - with their music project Sharing Pluto. The sounds sometimes sound familiar and catchy with plenty of pop appeal, sometimes spherical-rocky, crazy and above all unique.
Having started out as a duo, producer and guitarist Michael Ingold and drummer Marc Egloff are now also permanent members of the band. They are joined at live performances by singer Naomi Schweizer and percussionist Jan Locher.
Sharing Pluto released their debut, the concept album "Sharing Pluto", in April 2022. It is about a planet that was created in the near future as a perfect home for humanity. The recordings were made in winter/spring 2019/2020 at Influx Studios Bern. The video clip for the first single "Never gonna be like them" has already been viewed well over 100,000 times on YouTube. The band performed at Café Mokka and the Thunfest in 2022. They were also nominated by an expert jury as a Swiss Live Talent in the "Pop, Indie, Folk and Songwriting" category.
Sharing Pluto started working on new material in summer 2022. The result was 9 songs, which were released as singles in the course of 2023. The release of the second album "Every Day Is A Song" followed in the fall. The work is characterized by the uniqueness of each individual day - sometimes light, sometimes heavy, sometimes euphoric, sometimes thoughtful.
