The story of The Shivers begins May 10, 2006. One evening Alex and Tom meet and talk like old friends (they attended the same school). That same evening they decide to form a band: Tom plays the bass-guitar and Alex the guitar. The day after they meet for a rehearsal in a garage. They kept having more and more fun and so they got themselves a drummer but that did not last very long. The two boys continued to rehearse every Wednesday and Friday after school, playing various songs by Green Day and Blink182 (their favourite group) but without drummer. One evening an old friend of Alex’s contacted him for other business and by chance Alex discovered he plays the drums, and so Metius becomes a member of the group and now the trio is complete. Months pass and everything seems to go for the best, but when Tom behaves very dishonestly towards Alex and Metius, the band squabbles and Tom leaves the group. We're at the beginning of summer 2007, school ends and the holidays begin. A new adventure takes place for the two boys who are determined to find a new bass player. Another of Alex's acquaintances, Jason, joins of the band. They knew little about this new member of the group, but they soon discovered that he was precisely what they needed, a bass player with balls. They decided to eliminate the Blink182 and to become a real tribute to the band Green Day, but still missing something, Dancio? Yes, Dancio joins the group as the first guitarist. Now the band is truly complete! The holidays go by and they try very hard to prepare themselves for the tour of 2008 that Boss has planned for some time. The debut was really great! Everything went as planned and without too many problems, they went on with the concerts. Of course, there is no shortage in disappointments, but you know, there is still a lot to do, and this doesn't in anyway slow the band down. Everything is going so well that they embark on a trip to Italy! The plan was to play every weekend in a different place. Everything wass perfect! The group also decided to record a small cd with their songs, and so they moved on and spent time in the studio. Once released, the CD starts to sell copies and songs start circulating. The band is going very well. We hope that the future holds exceptional surprises for the band!
