After a five-year stint with GURD which saw the production of two studio albums, one live CD/DVD and countless concerts all over Europe, guitarist Bruno Spring decided to leave the band at the end of 2004. His plan: starting his own project and venturing into new musical territory. This was the birth hour of THE ORDER.
Having convinced Andrej and Tschibu to join THE ORDER had managed to fill the vacant positions of bassist and drummer with his two dream candidates as early as spring 2004. Andrej and Tschibu are not only his favorite musicians but they have all been close friends for ages (on and off, the three musicians have played together in various bands including Jerk, Swamp Terrorists and GURD for the last 15 years).
It was in early 2005 that the lineup was completed with the addition of a rare talent singer Gianni Pontillo (from the Basel hard rock / alternative band Pure Inc.)
