Starting as a solo project for guitar player Mathieu Evéquoz, The Last Wolf finally switched into an electric power trio. After some shows during summer 2024, the band continues his journey through the local scenes.
Released in March 2024, « Another Kind Of Blue » a second LP inspired by vintage rock, americana, blues and soul music, is the first project on which the whole band worked. With a more direct approach, rawer arrangement, the emphasis is on the melodies and the guitar.
From country tune like « My Sweet Little Thing » to the psychedelic grooves of « And Today Is The Day », from the 60’s pop of « We Belong » to the alternative rock of « Bird Without Wings », you can hear the distant echoes of Wilco, Michael Nau, Richard Hawley, My Morning Jacket, Eels, Serge Gainsbourg and many others.
