A man who possesses extraordinary musical and spiritual talent, and who provides a strong and genuine Reggae/Dancehall. He can adapt his performance to
the needs of his audience. His message, carried by his incredible singing voice, will be heard all over the world. William Martin, alias Sugardaddy, was born in
Antigua and Barbuda but has spent the past 30 years of his life in Basel, Switzerland. He started the Uprising Sound System in 1993. For seven years, he
performed at the Summer Casino in Basel on a regular basis while using this Sound System. Sugardaddy got his start in the music industry as a DJ and MC. At
Uprising events, he allowed Reggae and Hip Hop DJs to perform. When the legendary Basel reggae band ''The Scrucialists'' first got together, one of the first
places they played was an Uprising Sound System reggae party. The Uprising Reggae Parties, where Famara performed, are also legendary.
On October 20, 2012, Sugardaddy was one among the 147 artists performing at the 100 MC in Basel, making it one of the largest Hip Hop Shows in Basel. Right
now, we're in the studio recording our next album.

Following their performance at the Summer Casino, Uprising Sound System travelled to several other countries and towns throughout the world, including
Germany, France, England, and Antigua W.I. (In Germany in the known UNIVERSAL DOG Disco in Lahr).
Soon after forming the Soundsystem, Sugardaddy began to sing and compose music, which he has performed with a wide range of reggae bands including the
Ganglords (CH), Red Eyes Bands (France), Italian Dove band (Antigua), Jahfreeka band (France), Fighting Roots band (France/Switzerland), Free Limits (CH),
Herbal Soldiers (CH), and Mighty Roots (CH), as well as the Might Rockers Band (CH). At the Mulhouse performances of Tony Rebel, Warrior King, and Queen
Africa, he sang "Fighting Roots" as the show's opener (France). The French band The Spirit Revolution and I are collaborating on a project. We played at the
Hootananny Club in Brixton, England in 2016 and 2018. The Klosterberg Festival of 2017 has begun. The Summer Vibration Festival will be held in Selestat in
both 2018 and 2019. (France). The Avoriaz Annual Project (France). The annual Colmar Music Festival (France). His impact on the 2009 Basel music scene is
discussed in the book Pop Basel. Beyond this, he has been collaborating with producers from all around the world. Songs like "Rub A Dub Girl,"
"Mr. Marley" (Prod. by Japan's Remi Desroques), and "Jamaica/Antigua"
The American record label LBA Records has signed Sugardaddy as an open sign Artist under the Electronic Yellow Jammer sign. Genre of music electronica,
Sugardaddy has toured extensively throughout Europe for several decades. On November 19th, 2021, he will represent as a musical Ambassador for the
KENTE FESTIVAL in Luton, United Kingdom. Quesi Ghana also received a musical award at the GHANA music awards 2021 for best Reggae collaboration song
(AS IT IS). The music conveys his meaning. Spreading his message over the world is his top priority.
