It all started when two dedicated music lovers met on the benches of the Bern HEM Jazz school. That day, a new page in the history of music started to be written. At first, Jessanna and Baptiste chatted about tattoos. But then they started to play together, Jessanna the piano, the guitar and singing, Baptiste the drums and the piano.
Soon they were friends and the idea of forming a group was starting to take shape. The group quickly became a reality, but it still needed a name. In 2014 they had an inspiration - the name would be a play on words : after performing at an accoustic festival in Bienne they decide to call the group Oh My Deer.
Jessanna and Baptiste feel a strong and urgent call to create. They channel their artistic impulses through music scores, always eager to find ways to avoid boring routine. Their recipe : a mixture of Pop/Folk sounds sprinkled with Jazzy impro and spiced with a few hints of Rock'n'roll.
Some personal compositions are introduced, such as Barley Sugar, Vestiges, Merry Go Round as well as Little Dog Blues. They have made studio recordings of these pieces for the release of their first EP, in novembre 2015.
This group is an ambitious project, full of surprises, continuously fed by a shared love of music in all its forms.
