HELLLANDER
2008
The band was formed Thursday, October 2, in the village of Ferlens (Switzerland). After the dissolution of their former band, Van Raiser (guitar) and Matt Starcase (drums) decided to put together a stronger band, more powerful, and more epic drawing of Heavy Metal ! They are joined by Bryan (guitar) and Scorp (bass) to complete the line up. The style takes shape by the compositions of Van Raiser. The four musicians can be defined as a band of "Heavy Metal" like "Power Metal", influenced by bands such as Iron Maiden, Manowar, Running Wild , HammerFall, Dream Evil, Metalium, Stormwarrior, Grave Digger, Paragon, Wizard, Warlock ... The group took the name "Heart of Steel" ! Finding no singer, Van Raiser decides to assume this role itself, in addition to the guitar.
2009
The band gave several successful concerts and released two demos entitled "Trip in Fire" and "Trip in Fire, new version".
2010
At the beginning of the year, the band continues to perform on stage. Later, to better focus on guitar, Van Raiser stop singing. Zlatko (guitar and vox in the band « Pyrotraktor ») is becoming the new singer of Heart of Steel. At the end of the year, after discovering that the name was already taken, Van Raiser renamed the band "Helllander" !
2011
Bryan and Scorp announce their departure from the band. They are replaced by Tatooman (bass) and Blake (guitar). In June, Helllander starts recording the first album in the studio "Conatus" in Montreux (Switzerland). At the same time, Tatooman is replaced by Slayde Reyst. A few days later, Zlatko announce their departure. Van Raiser resumed singing. The band continues to advance by several successful concerts, and after months of work, Helllander completed recording his first album. For the release of the album scheduled for early 2012, Van Raiser create are own label "Ironn Records."
2012
17 February, the album "In The Battle" was released in stores, along with the video clip "Trip in Fire" (video directed by the company Backstab prod). Throughout the year 2012, Helllander sees its success grow every day, and concerts keep coming more and more nore. The band leaves Switzerland to play twice in France, in the cities of Pontarlier and Marseille. The year ends. Very pleased with the success of their first album, the four musicians back to the studio to begin recording a new album. The songs were composed in the year 2012.
