Revealed in 2018 with a first album "Al Silencio", acclaimed by critics, the Mexican-Swiss singer Carolina Katún is back with a new opus. Accompanied by Pierre Perchaud on guitar, Laura Caronni on cello and Arthur Alard on drums, Carolina Katún's deep voice is at the service of a repertoire exploring a universe that is both poetic and poignant, but also committed through powerful and delicate compositions.
Fruit of compositions whose texts evoke in particular the acceptance of gender diversity, humanism and awareness of ecological issues, this album will be released on Jazzland, Bugge Wesseltoft's label, to the delight of Carolina Katún!
Perfectly blending Latin American sounds with the colors of jazz, Carolina Katún wishes to gently approach subjects close to her heart, always with her unique touch, colored with poetry. Like the mountainous landscapes of the cover, this album offers us opportunities to open spaces within ourselves, to delve into our silences and to find connections between ourselves and the immensity.
