Taking vocal inspiration from the likes of AURORA and Lana Del Rey, Alessa has embraced her own sound, taking her love for clean electronic production and merging it with organic elements. Her lyrics are at the core of her music, a journey she has been on since she was a child.
Alessa first found comfort in writing songs and poetry after experiencing a devastating period in her early life. The solace she discovered through words and melody helped her to deal with the overwhelming emotions. As a teenager growing up in Switzerland, Alessa entered music contests on TV, but the pain of rejection became too much, and something which once brought her happiness and healing had turned sour. This resulted in a 4-year hiatus because the thought of creating music had become too triggering.
Grappling with depression and anxiety, Alessa struggled to find her way back to her truest essence - her musical self. Finding healing in the unapologetic authenticity of nature, Alessa began to reawaken her subconscious and reconnect with her essence, able to once again express her deepest emotions through the limitless ways of her musical creations. Alessa now hopes her honest songwriting will find the souls who need to hear it the most.
