Mitospora is an experimental electronic music duo consisting of Roberto Maqueda and Jules Hildebrand. They combine elements of Techno with experimental Audio Design and approaches of contemporary performance techniques.
Mitospora aims to combine a variety of electronic music influences and genres. At the same time, the projects wants to explore differences in the cultural perception of various art formats and how they are consumed, specifically experimental and classical music, in juxtaposition with electronic music genres like Techno and EDM.
Taking a strict “Live” approach, every sound and pattern is played by the musicians, without the use of tracks, such as used by DJs. As a chamber music duo, Mitospora aims to bring instrument playing techniques to a music genre in which these happen rarely, and wants to combine structural compositions with improvised sections, to translate the feeling of the dance-floor fluidly.
