Kône records was created by three passionate friends of electronic music in Geneva about five years ago.
Firstly located in a smoky dark basement, secondly split in three bedrooms (a home studio, a freaky deejay base and a computing/internet-point-access), thirdly the studio & office gone in an industrial area around Geneva... Finally kône moved in the beautiful countryside of Switzerland gathering all these activities. Kône decided to do the recording, mastering and production work autonomously.
One of the kône members, davecore has already recorded more than 300 tracks since 2001... We decided it was the time to produce our first vinyl record during the summer. Then, we made a tour thru Europe with the Nico's car to promote this EP...From this tour emerged our first collaboration with a german distributor (formic)...
Later on we reach the french distributor Kubik in Lyon. After they stopped their distributions activities :-))) we finally find out our current distributor : Undercity Distributions in Alkammar (NL).
Kône records has always in mind to release records that you can either listen to in your bathroom or on a dancefloor. So, after a second EP released by davecore we began to receive demos from all around the globe and we signed the spanish band the Trestristestigres for the number 3, a mini-LP of Scape One and a new Bytecon EP. But, we also directly contacted people that we like the music like Staubsauger or Luke Eargoggle who were also ready to sign an EP with us. Thanks to them !!!
The Kône crew is also working on different projects like DJing, radio-shows on the Geneva’s internet radio basic.ch and on the IF’s cybernetic-broadcasting system, live-acts and more…
